About the Organization
The Monterey Peninsula Chamber of Commerce (MPCC) was established in 1908. In 1949, it expanded to serve the entire Monterey Peninsula, encompassing the nearby cities of Carmel, Del Rey Oaks, Marina, Pacific Grove, Sand City, Seaside, and the unincorporated areas of Big Sur, Carmel Valley, Carmel Highlands, and Pebble Beach.
With more than 600 members representing over 50,000 full-time employees, MPCC continues to support and advocate for the business interests of the entire Monterey Peninsula community.
Needs & Provided Solution
The Monterey Peninsula Chamber of Commerce approached eLab Communications when it realized its outdated, template-based website and digital messaging no longer reflected its value to members or the business community.
As a B2B organization, MPCC needed a refreshed brand identity and digital platform that could serve both members and visitors while enhancing communication and engagement. Through multiple planning and collaboration phases, eLab Communications developed a modern online presence with new content strategy, photography, and social media integration.
We also introduced a digital advertising and content marketing program designed to promote member visibility and generate additional non-dues revenue opportunities for the Chamber.
Our team produced high-quality photography and video content to complement the new digital identity and improve user experience. The refreshed design and navigation framework established a modern and cohesive foundation that continues to represent the Chamber’s brand today.
When COVID-19 affected Monterey County, the City of Monterey and MPCC formed a PR task force. eLab Communications was again selected to manage the digital messaging and video production for emergency resources, showcasing the Chamber’s vital community leadership role.
