Campaign Summary

eLab Communications first partnered with Hog’s Breath Inn during the COVID-19 restrictions, helping the restaurant maintain safe and efficient operations through digital innovation. Our team introduced a contactless smart menu system and developed new content and visuals to support its outdoor dining program.

In early 2025, when the restaurant closed temporarily for a major renovation, Hog’s Breath Inn once again turned to eLab to lead its public relations and reopening campaign. Our efforts focused on storytelling, earned media, and digital engagement to keep the community informed and excited throughout the remodel period.

eLab created and distributed press releases, managed social media updates, and collaborated with SeeCarmel to feature behind-the-scenes coverage and an exclusive podcast segment on the renovation progress. We also digitized the restaurant’s historic photo archives for use on its newly designed interior walls, preserving its legacy for future guests.

Through targeted outreach, eLab secured significant earned media coverage valued at over $20,000 in equivalent ad space, effectively reintroducing Hog’s Breath Inn to locals and visitors before its grand reopening in August 2025. The campaign successfully revitalized public interest in one of Carmel’s most iconic dining destinations.
