About the Organization
Child Empowerment International (CEI) challenges the cycle of poverty in areas affected by civil unrest by empowering and educating marginalized children. Since its founding in 1998, CEI has provided healthcare, education, and protection to vulnerable youth across Sri Lanka, Uganda, and Nepal.
Through its network of more than 290 teachers and staff, CEI supports over 6,000 children each year — transforming communities through education and long-term empowerment programs.
Needs & Provided Solution
Child Empowerment International partnered with eLab Communications upon expanding to its Carmel, California satellite office. As a nonprofit organization, CEI needed a robust digital solution to manage global donations and streamline communication between donors, volunteers, and staff.
eLab Communications developed a secure cloud-based web application that integrates online donations, recurring giving, and child sponsorship management into a single, user-friendly platform. The system provides instant access to donor and beneficiary profiles, real-time financial reporting, and built-in multilingual support for international operations.
Our design and development teams created a modern, mobile-friendly website with an updated brand identity and easy navigation for both global donors and program administrators. To ensure optimal accessibility worldwide, the site uses CDN optimization for fast loading speeds and secure global delivery.
eLab Communications continues to provide platform management, and ongoing technical support for CEI — ensuring reliability, scalability, and continued success of its digital mission infrastructure.
